Rodrigo Souto, mastologista e diretor t\u00e9cnico da Pr\u00f3Onco Mulher, quando h\u00e1 a invas\u00e3o de v\u00edrus ou bact\u00e9rias no organismo, eles s\u00e3o automaticamente barrados ao passar pelos linfonodos, com isso, os linf\u00f3citos \u2013 que s\u00e3o as c\u00e9lulas de defesa \u2013 se multiplicam, aumentando os linfonodos e formando a famosa e conhecida \u00edngua.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pelo corpo existem in\u00fameros linfonodos que n\u00e3o apresentam altera\u00e7\u00f5es relacionadas com doen\u00e7as, mas, em alguns casos, \u00e9 importante observ\u00e1-los, como no rastreio do c\u00e2ncer de mama. Nessa situa\u00e7\u00e3o, os linfonodos axilares aumentam o risco de a doen\u00e7a se espalhar pelo organismo, se tornando a principal fonte de met\u00e1stase, por isso, o seu rastreamento deve ser um h\u00e1bito para os pacientes que possuem um tumor mam\u00e1rio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>A retirada dos linfonodos \u00e9 necess\u00e1ria?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hoje em dia, a necessidade de remover os linfonodos est\u00e1 restrita a pacientes espec\u00edficos, pois o objetivo \u00e9 tornar o procedimento menos invasivo, sem prejudicar o tratamento, com menos exposi\u00e7\u00e3o aos efeitos colaterais.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cA retirada dos linfonodos era comum h\u00e1 um tempo, mas, hoje, \u00e9 poss\u00edvel saber, por interm\u00e9dio de exames, qual o grau de comprometimentos dos g\u00e2nglios.
